Riding is the centerpiece, but not required. Everyone is welcome at Community Park.
A FREE, family-friendly festival on Halloween Day, 2026! Featuring 25+ entertainment stations, a BMX stunt show, hundreds of costumed riders, and zombies falling out of the sky. The bike ride itself is the main event of the day, but it is entirely optional, so come on wheels or on foot. Money raised goes to our beneficiary, NorCal Trykers, to build custom trikes for children with disabilities. Check out our calendar for more events throughout October. Why we ride
Your dollars build trykes
The Zombie Bike Parade's mission has always been to make bicycling available to everyone, including children with disabilities. Over the past seven years the organizers have raised funds, primarily from sponsors, and donated more than $50,000 to NorCal Trykers, who build custom tricycles for children with disabilities.
Each tricycle now costs $1,600 to build. As of 2025, funds from our events have put 42 children on custom trikes. Those children get to feel the freedom of riding, and the wind in their hair, for the first time. Our sponsors are the reason we can do that and still keep this festival almost entirely FREE to the public.

Skydivers, balloons, and a town that says yes
Making Davis history: the morning a hot-air balloon rose over the cemetery
On November 1, 2025, Davis got something it had never had before: free tethered hot-air balloon rides over the Davis Cemetery & Arboretum, closing out the 7th annual festival with a line that started forming at 5 am.
Zombies fall from the sky: inside the Skydance Skydiving grand finale
Every festival ends the same way: thousands of necks craning skyward as PRO-rated skydivers trail smoke and giant flags down into Community Park. Here is how that tradition got FAA approval and a five-year emcee.

NorCal Trykers builds custom adaptive tricycles for kids with disabilities, and they are the reason this festival exists. More than $50,000 and 42 trikes later, here is the story of the nonprofit it was all built to fund.

But it does help us plan a great event. So everyone who tells us goes into a raffle to win a Greg the Zombie plushy: an interactive zombie whose brains, heart, and three foot long guts all pull out. It is exactly as good as it sounds.
